Some time ago we were asked to custom design and build lamp fixtures for a client in Hawaii. We had done this once before on an exclusive project here in Seattle, so we knew it would be challenging. The metal work is all silicon bronze custom milled to dimension, then fabricated into the intricate components. The shades are hand blown into the bronze frame in a process that is rarely attempted. Great skill and timing is required to succeed with this marriage of glass and metal. Finally the shades are frosted, the metal patinaed and the fixtures assembled.
